Odd place for a Christmas tree.

Subject came up in conversation that a print I made that was circulated locally in a very limited fashion doesn’t appear in any of the galleries here. Whoops! Bit of an oversight. I’ll post it here until I decide where to put it. It is actually one of a series of shots from this location. This little spruce tree, decked in Christmas regalia, is decorated every year by an unknown person or persons. Along a side road in my near neighborhood, a thousand cars a day drive by it.  It stands sentinel through the raging blizzards of winter and for over a dozen years I’ve told myself I should stop and photograph the little Christmas tree. I finally did.

There are two lessons to be learned from this story. One: don’t wait ten years to go make that image you’ve been going to make. Two: pay attention to what you are posting and where.
